I now have a much better understanding of why the dynamic structure and distances between particles cannot work the way I envisioned. I realize my expectations were falling outside the logical boundaries of how the physics engine actually operates.

Nevertheless, I truly appreciate the time and dedication you took to look into this and explain it to me. Thank you very much for all your help!

Best regards.

Instead of a Collider Tag, use a RBD and set the "Follow Position" & "Follow Rotation" to a very high value.
Select the points of the Cloth you want to "stick" to the Box
Use a connector Tag on the cloth, and use the selected points and a large Search Radius so the cloth can "find" the box.
Set the Connector Stretchiness to the highest value possible (infinity)
Animate the stretchiness from infinite to 1000 in a single keyframe and then slowly to 0 to avoid a sudden "twitch"
Done...

How can I do this? i've tried bend, a line extrusion controlled by points, and rigging, but I haven't come up with it.
I looked at this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VPyRcIDtok but it was not helpful to me.

To explain further, I would like to recreate an animation of the procedure of wrapping a gift (with clingfilm) similar to this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5T4TdSDMdQ

You should create the rounded corners and the bend not rigid, but as if gently bent by the passage of a roller.

Each time we update Cineversity, things get mixed up differently. We are surely learning based on that and listening to everyone's input, as everything changes constantly.

The new version is number four and the third update. We started this journey in 2006, and the numbers are often in the thousands (counting videos) and on the YouTube sites for the different products.
When I check modern content management options, the idea of "How Netflix" does it is often mentioned. Yet, I'm sure many will disagree.

Things constantly change, and my 2-cents about this are that learning software is the highest investment in oneself: it requires time.
With this, I would love a system that serves and supports everyone here instead of making anyone work to search or dig out what is needed and wanted.

Learning has changed over the past decades, and I would say even over the past few years. Shuffling thousands of tutorials around is one thing; making them accessible effortlessly is the target and much more difficult.

All I can say is that I explore and research a lot. We want to give everyone the best experience and the shortest learning time. Jumping between two places (or even more, with our YouTube content) is not my favorite idea.

We will find better and more centralized ways, and I'm happy to invest time, this I can promise. I hope that echoes at least your input, even I have no definitive answer right now.

I hope that is OK with you—the improvement work continues.

Thank you!

Perhaps also a good question for the Ask The Trainer series. I will forward this.

My tip, use the Asset Browser>Operators to quickly check what effect those have, which would be an initial indicator.
