Is there a way to create a simple collision mesh to act as a rigid body and then parent the more complex geometry to this collision mesh with the new rigid body system?

This used to be simple in the bullet tag by specifying "compound collision shape" and then creating a large scale rigid body sim using a cloner.

I have a complex spherical object that I want to create a simple collision mesh for and then place in a cloner and simulate. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you
