<p dir="auto">In this instance I have a profile swept along a spline which is then added to a cloner to replicate cladding on a wall.</p>
<p dir="auto">Is there a way that that cloner could then be clipped to another shape/spline?</p>

Why should there be a solution when there wasn't one for a simpler case?</p>

<p dir="auto">IfSplines are used as a mask, then they do it in one direction. But please check out the reply in the other thread.</p>
