Sand blowing off object
-
Hi there cinema4d folks,
Tried to post this to Q&A, but it won't give me any other category option but Site Issues when I create my post, is there a reason for that?
I am not new to c4d, but I am completely new to using mographs matrix object, particle emitters and creating simulations. Recently I started a new project where one of my pieces is meant to be lying submerged in sand, and then the wind starts to blow away the sand and we start seeing the piece.
I have tried everything (at least, I think I have) within cinema to get this working in the most simple way, from displacement, displacers, matrix objects with cloners and finally octane scatter, and the more I work on it the worse the results are. In fact the first attempts with the simplest setups yielded the best, albeit not realistic enough, results.Does anyone here have any idea how I can go about doing this? There is so little about it on the net, and I have watched just about every single youtube tutorial so far. I don't have X-particles or nexium, and was not intending to get it as I don't get these kinds of projects frequently enough, but is that the only way to get real results?
Any advice on this matter will be accepted with extreme gratitude at this point. I am posting some pics, if anybody want's to see the file I can upload it too. ALso, I am rendering in Octane, which adds to the complexity as it seems one has to use little work arounds in order to render mograph objects and c4d particles with it. Or am I not seeing the picture clearly enough... I am not that smart, as you can imagine!
Merci infiniment,
