Missing Textures/Plugins
-
Hello!
Here's a (hopefully correctly formatted) version of my questions!I've been getting a 'Plugin 'Dirt' (ID 1011136) error when I open a texture pack on c4d. Sometimes I get the same error with 'Redshift' instead of 'Dirt' as well - that means i need to buy that plugin right? Will ignoring the plugin warning break my design files if i save them?
here is the image url on wetransfer if it doesnt work - https://we.tl/t-q4aiOKwuR2
I tried using what looks like a water style material on a practice piece (the material with the blue highlight at the bottom) , but it seems to remove all dimension from the object and create this weird pixelated column pattern, even when I render it. I've attached an image of what it looks like. Do you think this is an issue with me missing some textures? I updated my graphics drivers but it still didnt fix the issue. here is the url if the image doesnt work! its on we transfer now - https://we.tl/t-f1I54V3RyC
Thank you!!

Hi possible-chart,
Thanks for your efforts with Wetransfer; very nice of you!
Somewhere in the materials is this Dirt Shader, and since it causes trouble, you need to find and delete it. There is nothing else you can do.
You mixed two questions again.
Let me rephrase this: there is just one theme per thread. Dirt is one theme, and a water-like shader is another.
Thanks for limiting Future Forum's Thread to one specific theme.I can't do much with a material preview. But I see where you like to go. I had more in mind for a reference to an object.
I suggest following Elly's great Project breakdowns. I have done all the timestamps and the QA for them; they are excellent.

Those might be the sources that exactly match what you need to create your very own material library. If you rely on a ten-year-old material collection, chances are they get even more obsolete shortly has a great chance, given their age, while I do not know what other surprises they contain.
Learning to set up your own materials or change materials from the Asset Browser will give you certainty for future explorations.
Let go of old stuff that is not working; it is not worth it. The Asset Browser has a lot of content. If you share a C4D file with the water material, I'm happy to take a look into it.
Enjoy Elly's walk through the excellent materials she produces.
Have a great day!
