It is strange, but I cannot find any good tutorial on the internet that explains the way of creating an explode view animation of a product, like a machine. Especially if the object contains of a lot of parts (bolt, nuts, etc.). What would be the best workflow of creating such an animation?

Thanks for the tutorial suggestion, shine-negative.

Placing all under a Fracture Object (Not Voronoi Fracture), and using a Target Effector, set to repel might work. However, the axis of each object needs to be close to the object in question.

        All the best

That's what I now did, indeed. Fracture object did the job. But you have actually limited options to tweak each individual object. Of course, you can tweak endlessly with all the possibilities of mograph, but it takes a lot of time and fine-tuning. I would prefer special explode view parameters. Your Expresso tool is a very good start and helped a lot to get rid of the very tiny elements like bolts and nuts.

One more thing, Dr. Sassi: With your Expresso tool you can hide elements depending on a certain diameter. Is it possible to add another or adjust the existing parameter? The number of points and the number of polygons would give a much better result. Just asking.

              Hi shine-negative,

              Explode
It would be best if you explored the Weight Paint of Clones. With that, it is easy to adjust things like painting onto them. That MoGraph Weight Tag goes then into an Effector. This works like a "factor'": Effect times weight.

              XPresso
The number of points is not an indicator of size. But if you wish to have something like that, no problem with XPresso.

We move more into a Q&A Forums discussion than making a Tutorial suggestion.

Hi Dr. Sassi, Thx for the feedback. I was trying to add this question to the earlier thread we had about explode views in the Q&A in the first place, but the thread was close.

                  Hi shine-negative,

That is weird. I can't see a lock, and it would make no sense if there were one.

Can you share a screenshot with that lock and post that in the Site Issue forum?

                  Thanks a lot.
