Tape wrapped object animation

I want to make an animation with the same effect as in the picture. I used spiral spline lines to generate the dough sheets and then used a shrink wrap deformator. It was successful, but it could only simulate the spiral growth of the tape tightly adhering to the object, and could not give the feeling of wrapping the object like a real tape.

How should I make it? I've been thinking about it for almost a week. I've tried fabric simulation, but I have no idea where to start. If anyone has any tips or ideas, could you share them? I would be very grateful.
