          Hi sign-mission,

Sorry that you haven't gotten any solution yet. This is not OK.

Please ask your question here, I will move this Thread later to the Q&A forum.

C4D files up to 1MB can be uploaded. (Format ".c4d"; Images 500 pixel tall, max)

If you use a cloud service, please use only Dropbox, Wetransfer, Google, Apple, or Adobe cloud services. Please upload the data un-compressed; the link is just fully posted here, with no Tiny URL. Sorry for that long advice, but security is the key.

Again, sorry that this hasn't been solved. I hope the admin in charge will have a look on Monday.

          All the best

How to animate the material of particles of an emitter-object?

I want to animate the material of the emitted spheres of an emitter-object. When emitted the color must be bright and get darker frame by frame. And this must happen with each newly emitted sphere.
When I animate the color brightness by key all spheres together get slowly darker, also the newly emitted spheres. So at the end of the animation the newly emitted sphere has the darkest color - like each other sphere.
What do I have to do to get what I want?

              Hi sign-mission,

              Please have a look here
              CV4_2025_drs_25_PAbc_01.c4d

The spheres use the Age of the Particle in the Color mapper, which is then used in the Material. The Material has a User Data node to take the information from the Cloner

To enhance the effect, you can use the Bloom option.

Fingers crossed that the admins get you access working soon.

Thank you, thank you very much for your quick answer! I forgot to mention that I use an old Version of C4D, Release 13. That is also why I do not have the Plugins Color Mapper and Particle Group. So it is not possible in R13, just as I expected. So I shall try to get the result i wanted with visible light with animated brightness. Thank you very much again.

                  Hi sign-mission,

R13 was released in 2011, 14 years ago.

Standard Particles are different now, and the R13 Standard Particles are now Standard Particle Legacy.
Sorry, I do not have R13 installed anymore. You might explore Thinking Particles for this.

I assume you have no subscription, which is why you have no access here.

                  My best wishes.
