Getting Exports with Variable Frame Rates
-
Hey all. Would really appreciate your help here. I am trying to export to MP4, tried multiple projects, both 60fps. Checked that project settings and timeline settings match. Am using Redshift.
The MP4 I get right out of Cinema 4D is very choppy, and when using MediaInfo to inspect it, I see that it has a Variable Frame Rate instead of a Constant one.
When I select all Frames in the Render Picture Viewer and hit 'save' to manually save it as an MP4, it is smooth, but when viewed in a browser, the colors are off, i.e. the scene is way darker (gamma?).
How would I get both 60FPS + matching colors/brightness in browsers?

Hi Charlie,
My take is to use mp4 from Cinema 4D for previews only, if at all.
Get the best material possible out of the render engine. Then, use this in an external app to fine-tune it to your needs.
To re-render just to test another mp4 setting seems counterproductive.
A resulting darker image can only be checked with a project file.I can take a look, but perhaps tech support is the direct way when you think it is not based on your settings.
