Hi! I am following this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST7SEIynDI8 but cannot recreate the same perpendicular snapping behaviour.

The perpendicular snap shows up when highligting the point but it disappears when moving away from it and it does not create the perpendicular line.

I don“t know if it is a bug or something I am doing wrong. Can someone confirm that everything is working fine? I am on the latest release.

    Thanks!

I got it to work. I do not know why on the first spline I make the perpendicular snap does not work. After creating a second spline the snap guide works.

Thanks for updating your question, alex.nikolaus,

It is a very effective way to construct.

        Enjoy your project

I reported the behavior as a bug. On the first spline the perpendicular snap does not work. It only works after creating a second spline with the creat new spline checkbox unticked.

            Hi alex.nikolaus,

Thanks for doing that. If fixed for good, this will help others as well, perhaps never to experience that. Sorry that you have that problem.

I checked it in 2024.4 and made a screen capture; here it works.

Anyway, thank you again for the report.

            Cheers
