hi - I have cached particle simulations to our server using 2024.4

I have then taken those same files and made them relative paths so they can be found by our render farm.

for example, In the "Path to Alembic File field" I have changed:

      Q:\ProjectName\cinema4d_file_location\sc3d_v10_scene_cache_active_v3.abc
      to
      sc3d_v10_scene_cache_active_v3.abc

when I submit to the farm (that runs the command line c4d on Linux) c4d cannot find the file even thought it is in the relative path to the project.

the farm spits back this error:
Errno #2: No such file or directory [alembicarchivehook.cpp(98)]

doing this for the cloth tag cache works - but it is not working for the particle cache.

why? is there a work around if you have no solution? can I spit particles out another way as an alembic that can be read by a relative path? thank you.

PS - I have no idea how to put this in the correct forum category

        Hi randmcnally,

Please use this Site Issue forum only for access problems or any problems with the site.

We do not reply here to Q&A questions when posted in the site issue forum. This is often used as a backdoor to get answers, while typically, no request for access is made. Sorry, when you have a valid account, other artists' behavior has led to this clear rule and trouble.

        Please check with tech support:

My tip when the project files work is to use the save with assets to handle this, but I have no idea what the render farm does.
This is for the tech support.

        My best wishes.
