Nodes question - how to take value from one node and feed it to another node?

More specifically I have two extrude line nodes, and I want to take the offset of one and use it to drive the other. I can't seem to find a way to get an output for values of a node, only inputs. Is there a way?

Why not take an input or a Value Node and connect both to this?
