    Hello all,
I really need help. I am trying to learn C4D but I am ready to give up. I bought a new computer specifically for this program, so I can work as a Motion Designer Artist.

    I have an Asus Rog Strix with 13th gen Intel i7 GeForce RTX 4060 GDDR6 @ 8GB 128 bits.

I have gotten 4 pieces to render, but cannot get particles or pyro to render through redshift. I have tried caching objects, caching my scene, restarting my computer, restarting C4D all with no rendering from Redshift.

Caching breaks my animation in the viewport.
Redshift will render basic objects in my scenes and my animated cameras, but nothing else appears in the final render.

Please help. What am I doing wrong? I tried updating to the latest in C4D and Redshift today and it still did the same thing.

      Hi mission sea,

I can not comment on any hardware tech; I don't have all these cards here. If I can't test a specific configuration firsthand, I can't share anything valuable.

But we can do this: Here is a project file; please run it from frame zero, stop when you have some particles, and then render. Does it look like this:

      CV4_2025_drs_25_RSpt_01.c4d

There was a while ago a problem rendering in progressive mode worked, but not in bucket mode. If Hair was used for rendering.
The suggested solution was to move redshift up or down in the Render Settings List. Up and down, as I don't know which version you use or what your setup looks like.
Cit shared his received answer from tech support:

Would you mind opening a ticket with tech support? If there was nothing in the test render. Thank you.

Thank you I will try later tonight when home from work. If you would like me to render the test file in the RS Renderview once the animation starts playing that will work until I cache it, then it will probably break. I will try both the RS Renderview window and then try to render it from the frame where the particles start in RS itself

          Thank you DaveRankin,

I wanted first to test the particles alone.

Please, as the next step, explore this file

I got it to work! The problem was a frame mismatch. The default C4D file on the new release(the 3D layout of the C4D logo) has a nice lighting and backdrop setup. Since I am a bit of a beginner with C4D I used that to make my new files, as the stage was already in place.

The problem was that this document was frozen/paused on frame 1.25, so when I deleted the logo, then began working and adding keyframes, they would be set to .25 on each frame, so F1.25, F.2.25, etc.

When I went to render, I set it for Frame 0 - 250 and I think it could not see the .25 frames so couldn't render them. Once I went into the scene and set everything to single frames with no decimal, it worked.

Thnk you for your help! Dave

              Hi Dave,

I'm trying to recreate this. The Scene has 24 fps, and to use 30 fps, you changed it, setting the first frame to 1.25. To set other keyframes later on at .25, you needed to do it deliberately, as. However, even then, I can't reproduce a problem. Do you have that Scene with the problem? So I can clear that problem.
Please just the problem parts in it, and that should be below 1MB and can be attached here as a c4d file (If bigger, Dropbox, Wetransfer, Google, Adobe, or Apple as cloud-service only [security-based], uploaded as is not compressed, and the full URL pasted here, not HTML wrapper, thank you)

It's the default startup scene. In the preferences under Files>Startup>Logo
That scene is frozen at frame 1.25.

                  Hi Dave,

That is not frozen; you can change the start and end of the project accordingly. In the timeline, it is in the left and right corner for the start and end.
                  login-to-view
Or in the Attributes (manager) > Mode> Scene
                  login-to-view

When you have deleted the Logo Animation, all keyframes are gone, and nothing should be a problem anymore if you set the start to zero and the end to the project duration you like to have.
