I’m currently following this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUsVcgdw1ps
) to rig a Mixamo character in Cinema 4D. However, in the Adjust stage, the components are not snapping to the character’s joints as shown in the video. The character I’m using is the Mixamo X Bot character, and the joint naming (with mixamorig:) also seems correct, so that doesn’t appear to be the problem. Could you help me resolve this issue?

        Hi working-long,

As usual, I do not answer from memory or with stuff from the "archive".

I downloaded a new Mixamo file, opened it in Cinema 4D 2025.3.3, answered the "Take" question with "No", and left all other settings on their default values.

        Here is the result:

I check some controllers, and you can see that the Joints and the figure have both influences in the image.

The tutorial you shared introduced a few extra steps. Here is perhaps the original, done by Maxon's Training Director:

I hope that file helps to compare the two project setups.

        My best wishes

The issue was with the C4D version I was using. I was on version 2025_1.2, and after updating to version 3.3 everything worked correctly. Many thanks!

                Thanks for the reply, working-long.

I'm glad it works for you.

If I get no other detail or a scene file where I can check the version, I assume the current version is used. I should have asked to get a file, which I usually do, sorry for that. I'm glad I pointed to 2025.3.3.

                Enjoy your project.
