Timecode Support in C4D
-
Hello, I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this type of question... I can't find any information online about timecode support in C4D when importing an FBX that contains timecode. I want to use C4D to clean up some mocap data and I'd like to preserve the timecode in it when importing, and then when exporting it. I'd also like to record some mocap data in C4D and have timecode added as I record so I can sync it later to an audio file with timecode. Does C4D have any timecode support, and if so where can I find information on it? Thanks!

Hi bwa-jose,
I exported an FBX in text format and can't find any information about Time-Code.
The manual has no idea, either. If you know the start and end points, set the project accordingly.
Typically the animation is mapped onto the exact time in your timeline.
At least I have tried all combinations in the past hour, and it works, no matter what. For a second opinion, please get in touch with the Support, or open a ticket as a "Share Your Ideas" to submit this as a feature request.

All the best
