        Hi case-sand,

Not to my knowledge, and I would assume that it is a security risk.

If you need this feature, perhaps take a moment and suggest it here:

        "Share Your Ideas" here

        Thanks for considering it.

        Cheers

          Thanks.
I'm thinking of an other problem too.. 🙂 Maybe without new thread you can answer or drive to a solution.
Is there a way to extend the c4d file with a global variable like defined in the render path tokens of the render settings page ?
Without a custom c++ token , is there a possibility to get a string from the c4d file name and assign it to the render path for example in python?
I mean the c4d file version would be a version tag inside the render path. I thought of an expresso function too. Maybe there can be solved.
          Any ideas ? 😉

            Hi Gemini,

I believe live shared preferences are a security risk, as everyone needs to have the right to read and write. So, what happens if one decides to change the preferences and another machine is in the middle of a deadline? Who would you blame for that?

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I'd rather be wrong than cause any damage I can't foresee.

I can't help you here, please check with Tech Support

You could also use the "Share your Idea" and perhaps have a central file somewhere, allowing each installation to sync to it, but then have its own preference file as before. It's just a thought, not an explored suggestion.

            Cheers
