Anyone know if there's a Mesh Cleanup script for C4D that is similar to this one that Foundry has for modelling? C4D's Optimize tool is okay but could be better.

      Hi _carsonjonas,

      The closest would be the
      Attribute Manager>Mode> Modeling> Mesh Checking.
It's not automatic, but one step closer.

Posted to the Dev group forums. This would be a big help for imported stock models.

          Thank you, _carsonjones.

It will support similar requests, but I have to mention that we do not copy from other apps. If one likes to work with Modo, then Modo is the app to use. None of the major 3D apps go shopping by the other vendor. I just do some expectation management here.

Otherwise, we end up emulating Maya, 3DMax, Houdini, etc, which is not the target. I assume other apps have the same idea about their architecture and strategy.

          Cheers
