    Hi,

I am trying to deform (bend) a parent object, without affecting the child object – but still have the child object follow its relative “position”..

My problem is that the child object also gets deformed/distorted due to the bend, as soon as it is next to the deformer box – although it is not inside of it.

A simple example would be as follow:
    00x.jpg

The red cylinder has a bend deformer (fit to parent activated).

Around the cylinder there is a blue Tube:

The tube should follow the relative position of the bended cylinder. And it does – but it also gets affected by the bend, distorting it:

Do you know how I can have the tube follow the bended cylinder – without the tube getting bended/distorted? Like this:

    Thanks a lot!

    Best
    Christian

      Hi Christian,

      Please have a look here:

The idea is to have a little object in the bend set-up and use it as
      Cloner>Attribute Manager> Object> Mode> Object

Is this working for your project?

      All the best
