Why was it after an Update of C4D deactivated? (I lost one hour of work)
plz maxon! enable it by default! -
Hi
art-disease, moebius ,I have gotten to that point myself; it's not fun.
The problem is that not everyone has the same autosave settings; Or wishes to have it on at all.
Some artists have several versions installed, which might lead to different results if previous preferences are used and not the ones that were expected. My suggestion:

Use the "Share Your Idea" option. Thanks for taking the time. All the best

Thanks! I'll write an Idea... ...again

good nightare you employed at maxon for this forum? Or just a nerd?

Hi moebius, good after noon then
To your question: Would there be a difference
I joined Cineversity in May 2006, since I was running inside a larger network of Artists the Cinema 4D forum while also supporting the VFX pipeline training, Hands-on On Classes in SF, CA, for example, and had my "Daily Tool-Time" tutorial series there for several years, when there were pretty much only a handful of tutorials at all available for Cinema 4D.
Back then, the U.S. CEO of Maxon invited me to the NAB show in 2006 to premier the MoGraph package. My massive tutorial series allowed me to get up to speed here quickly; it was the first larger package of 760 videos in 2006 that we had here on Cineversity. A few month later I joined as the first full time trainer and other "duties".
Since then I have worn many hats here at Maxon, and I love the culture and way of working, which improves every year.
As usual, I provide perhaps more than needed, but writing in a forum for over two decades has taught me to provide rather a bit more than too little, as artists reading along have a wide variety of interests.
Cheers

To your question: Would there be a difference
Kinda, when I know you have more insights or probably power to change something, I'm more motivated to write
btw: is the new boole ready for single sided polys (open objects) in the next release? -
Thanks for the reply, Moebius, and for submitting suggestions to the Maxon website.
The biggest power to change is to define why a suggestion would improve the workflow for anyone.
From my perspective, the last chance is to complain without any ideas.I'm unsure if I have more power with a suggestion, as I use our standard protocol to submit things, which is on the same level as yours. If the idea can't speak for itself, I might not have the idea that gets on the top of the to-do list. The only way to have the most success is to write positively and create an impact that the idea never leaves the mind of the one who has read it.
Any questions about future releases indicate that I would violate my NDA. That will not happen. There is nothing to add to that. Thanks for understanding.
If you need a single polygon Boole, and what you currently get is not enough, make a suggestion. IF you like to share more about it here, please in a new thread. Thank you.
