    Hello everyone!

I'm trying to animate the jewel you see attached (1) to make it expand and contract back to its original shape.
I'm attaching another sample to make you understand better what I need to do (2). That one was easy to set up since the entire jewel is made by one single module cloned with a radial cloner whose radius is animated.
The one I need to animate is tricky, tho, because it is made by all different pieces and the radial cloner is not working properly. Any idea or tip to make it work?
    Thank you in advance!

      Hi daniela.russo,

I'm not familiar with posting.CC, I do not have a security clearance for this source.

Please share content here with Dropbox, Google, Adobe, Apple, or WeTransfer. No HTML wrapper, just the plain URL (full, no zip/rare during upload, or tiny URLs). Thank you. It is based on security.

If you have a scene file, that is most likely the better way.

Direct upload here: .c4d files max 1MB, images 500 max height.

      All the best

      Cheers

        Hi daniela.russo,

Since I do not open any URLs from my workstation, I checked quickly with my iPhone.

Please explore the file_01.c4d first to get a clear idea of the basic setup. Cloner> Attributes> Object> Radius
        CV4_2025_drs_25_ANer_01.c4d

This is rather simple, but I like to have it separated from the core set up in file …_02.c4d
        CV4_2025_drs_25_ANer_02.c4d
Here, we need a setup that allows for the various sizes of the elements.
I have captured this to avoid a long-winded text here.
        Screen-capture
        https://projectfiles.maxon.net/Cineversity_Forum_Support/2025_CLIPS_DRS/20250528_flexible-ring.mp4

I'm not clear about the sizes of the rings in the image. Typically, a project file provides me with a lot of data.

If the elements are organized in Z, as in the first example, the Fracture object can work efficiently here with a Plain effector and by changing the Z direction. …_11.c4d
        CV4_2025_drs_25_ANer_11.c4d

If it is more complex (in terms of axis and size), the PoseMorph tag (Object Manager > Tags > Rigging Tags) can help here. The key parts are Position and Hierarchy. Then, with the new Pose active, move the parts as needed and test it by switching from Edit to Animation. …_21.c4d
