Would i use spline dynamics or a IK-tag with bones/joints for this type of hair? or is there another method? Any help would be appreciated! I've attached the reference, i uploaded in gif format and have included the original youtube shorts video i want to reference.

      Thanks in advance.

        Hi eat-sport,

I would perhaps use Generate>Instances with a specific texture and, if needed, displacement.

        Please have a look here:
        CV4_2025_drs_25_HAin_01.c4d

Please note that I have reduced the amount of Hair (Guides and Hairs Tab)
The Dynamic was on until I found a specific state, then used the Main Menu> Simulate> Hair Edit> Get Initial State
With that set, the Hair Dynamics was set to Rigid.

The Hair Material is used for the Thickness.
In the Generate Tab, the checkbox for Render's hair is off, as we have the instance (cylinder here) instead.

I hope that allows us to provide you with a good basic to get what you are after.

Since you wrote IK-Spline, perhaps the Rigid option is not what you are after. Please explore.

        All the best
