      Hi everyone,
I need to create a geometric stitch along the edge of this throw. The stitch needs to follow the path of the spline while also orienting itself correctly and bending along the edge of the throw.
Is there a way to achieve both?
The Cloner alone doesn’t seem to be enough: it doesn't follow the spline properly, and the orientation is off!

        Hi daniela.russo,

This is typically done with a Rail spline.

For MoGraph, please have a look here (scroll down)
        https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2025/en-us/Default.htm#html/OMOGRAPH_CLONER-ID_OBJECTPROPERTIES.html#MG_SPLINE_RAIL
        For the Sweep Object:
        https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2025/en-us/Default.htm#html/OSWEEP-ID_OBJECTPROPERTIES.html#SWEEPOBJECT_BANKING

The Rail Spline works like a Target but provides directional information along a whole spline, which works with the main spline that is used for the initial setup.
Both splines should not occupy the same position/space, as then no target can be defined.
        Example:
        CV4_2025_drs_25_MOrl_01.c4d
I haven't seen your file as I touch it for security reasons, only Dropbox, Wetransfer, Google, Apple, or Adobe cloud services. Please do not shorten the URL and paste it as your URL above (no HTML wrapper), and the file will be uploaded uncompressed. Thank you!
Please note that I will be back from vacation next week.

        My best wishes

I solved it exactly like this, even if the stitching is not perfect. Thank you very much and happy holidays!
