Hello, not sure where to post as I do not see new post option in qa category. I am struggling with .skp merge in c4d 2025.1.3, in which the imported model geometry is fused into one polygon. This produces unwanted lines in the faces where certain objects connect (such as handles on doors).

I have attempted to melt the offending face polygons back together, which sometimes works, however i still see flaws in the rendering where the individual polygons were.

I have verified the original models have single faces in sketchup, but get changed on import. These are from a client and I don't have much knowledge of sketchup.

I also have many models to process, so going into each and editing is a very undesirable option. Experimenting with exporting other formats for import, but no solve yet.

      Hoping someone can help, thanks.

        Hi seat-north,

When the Q&A forum doesn't allow you to post, then in most cases you have to solve the problem accessing the forum, and for that support Site Issue Forum is here, not to be used at any time for anything else.

Please request that the admin check your account. I have no access to that database. I will move this post to Q&A.

The SketchUp import documentation is here:
        https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2026/en-us/Default.htm#html/FSKPIMPORT.html?TocPath=Configuration%257CPreferences%257CImport%252FExport%257CSketchUp%2520Importer%257C_____0
And has two more sites if you click on the little folder on the right.

Fingers crossed that the access is soon available.

        All the best
