I'm hoping to animate the opacity of each word via a linear field in a Plain Effector, but when I try to use Color User Data, it doesn't work. I've uploaded my project demonstrating how cubes in a cloner fade out, but text does not.TextRedshiftOpacity_v001.c4d

        Hi tonight-excitement,

Thank you very much for the file.

Yes, that is not following typical MoGraph behavior.

The Plain Effector provides the Field Color to the Object Color. If you set the User Color's Attribute Name to "RSObjectColor" (It is in the Object Preset, as in the example below, you should get the wanted result.

        Your file (please render)

Please let me know if that is working for you.

My best wishes for your project.

Thanks, I had the same problem!

One more addition to that: Is there a way to use one linear fields color user data to control the opacity and use the color user data from a different linear field for the actual color of the words?

Or a similar requirement for a different use case: I have two materials on the text and want to control the opacity of each material seperatly with two linear fields... is that possible?
