Top, front, or right view: In version 2025, these views could also be rotated. This was possible either with the icon in the top right corner, Alt/Left mouse button, or by pressing the 3 key and moving the mouse.

This is not possible in version 2026.1.2. What is the problem?

        Hi moebious0815,

        https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2026/en-us/Default.htm#html/PREFSNAVIGATION-PREF_NAVIGATION_MAIN_GROUP.html#6c5e006be1784cae8b3a96530ca5460a

Please explore the use of that rotation icon with the Control, or Command key down.

Can you see an advantage in this? With the rotation only, Shift can add even more to it.

        All the best

          Hi Doc.
Thanks! I figured out, I have to clic on the rotate icon, with the right mousebutton and drag.

nop, I don't see an advantage. I'm using C4D 20 years and I'm stuck with my navigation behavior. There are so many other tools and workflow improvements I wish for, sad maxon works on all the other stuff 🙂

            Hi moebious0815,

Thanks for the feedback. 🙂 Yes, I often ask for optional features, instead of making them permanent from the start, exactly for that reason.

            Have a great day
