Hi Dr. Sassi, how are you? I can not seem to get my cloth to tear, in version 2025, can you please provide a file for me? trying to get a sphere to "tear like it is made of cloth, many thanks, Best, Craig Zuckerman, [email protected]

you need 4 "ingredients" to make cloth tear:

1. Turn on "Cloth Tearing"
2. Adjust "Tear Past" to tell the simulation how much stretching a polygon needs to do before it tears
3. increase the "Stretchiness" parameter so the cloth actually stretches.
4. Some forces to pull the cloth (could be gravity and a collider)
