The default highlight color for matching text in command manager is a glaring (in a dark theme) white background and a bright red.

I was able to change the foreground text to a dull green, but would like to change the background of the text to a medium grey

How can I do this ?

      You're very welcome, family-flow.

For colors, main Menu> Edit> Preferences> Interface Colors.

There is not a single color for only the Command Manager, that is Interface> General Background, and background 2 Inactive, as well Focus, or Select or as I saw it, you found the font color.
(I have no list here, and I have to search this as everyone else.)

      My best wishes
