Hi, First post here and looking forward to learning more C4D from you guys.

I have a question in relation to the automatic triggering of a camera to record a scene.
To illustrate what I would like to achieve the picture below shows the path of an object. As it enters Cam 1 position within Circle distance, I would like it to add frames (footage) to the render list for the time it is in within the circle (distance from camera), as it moves to camera 2 it starts to record from that position and so on. If there are any ideas how this might be acheived in an automatic way...I would be eternally grateful, many thanks.

      Hi juice-list,

There is no native option available. The Frustum of a camera will overlap at a certain distance with the camera on the left and right; which one to choose each time? The first point that arrives in the camera views the axis. How about a deformed object that changes? Will it trigger the camera back and fore? In your case, it might be simply one object, but going by the image, the cameras are at different distances to the path.

Based on so many variables: I would say that you need to art direct the camera manually.
I would use the Stage object and manually set the camera sequence up, which seems to be the fastest way.

But of course, you might have a reason, so I have set up a little example with two cameras, which can be expanded endlessly:
