      Hi there,

Older C4D versions allow you to keep your .lib4d files on another partition or hard drive, for example when you don't have enough space on your C:/

But with new versions (i'm running 2023) older .lib4d files have to be converted to show up in the assets browser, and the files go to the main drive, even if the converted .lib4d is from another hard drive. Is there a way to change this and keep the converted files on other disk? (I know you can change the destination drive for downloaded assets, but I mean the converted ones).

      Thanks in advance

        Hi list-departure

Please have a look at the Preferences> Databases. Add or create a folder that you have on the drive of your liking and then import a lib4d file.
You get offered where to place the converted data. The pull-down menu should have the Database Folder as an option. (It is also possible to create one during import.

I tested it, of course, with the current version 2023.2.1, and I found no problems) by creating a folder for the cv-fireworks.lib4d, with a manually created folder "Fireworks" on a external drive (A USB thumb-drive)

        All the best
