Hi all, I'm very new to C4D/redshift and am struggling to get similar lighting to this...

    login-to-view

As you can see the lighting is fairly flat, but the shadows are strong. To get shadows this dark my light source seems to have to be very close and strong - but then that just washes out the colours. And reducing the diffusion also reduces the shadow strength.

I can't seem to find a way to keep strong shadows and flat lighting in redshift in the same way I can the physical renderer.

Any help would be much appreciated!

      Hi method-size,

      Please have a look here.

The light that creates the shadow has been set to be very low, while the spread is also low. In this way, the light can have a greater distance.

The Done Light produces an overall even light distribution.

I have also added some Bloom, so the overall feeling comes closer.

      All the best

          You're very welcome, method-size.

Light is something special to me, so it was fun to set this up.
          Thanks for the question.

My best wishes for your project.
