Modeling curved walls and unwraping them for mural artwork.
-
I'm tackling a project that involves designing a 3D model of a mural for three walls that have a distinctive "S" shape. I'm looking for suggestions on successfully creating this S-shaped curvature to unwrap them and overlay the mural design on all surfaces, including the tops.
Presently, I've got the basic models of the walls, but the S-shaped curvature is proving to be a challenge. I had initially thought the Bend modifiers might help me with this, but I can't seem to make it work. I would appreciate any guidance on how to handle this S-curve modeling.

Hi quarter-strategy,
I would create a linear model and then use the Wrap Deformer to get it into shape.
I tested some options here, and that leads me to some pointers:
When you know the length of the S-Curve, I would have the linear part in the same length (Easier to create UVs from it)
With that measurement, you set the Bounding Box of the Spline Wrap. When the Spline is perfect, make a copy, move it up in P.Y., and use it as Raid. The Length of the Spline can be produced via XPresso

This keeps the shapes (except for the top parts, they look like Prism) easy to handle. All the best

P.S.: Here is a draft. I have included a UV-Mesh-Layer-Image, as an orientation. I had no measurements, so it is all for the demo.

I'm sorry for the late reply. But I took your advice and it worked perfectly.
Thank you.

You're very welcome, quarter-strategy.
Please never worry about a late reply.
Let me know if there is something else; I'm happy to look onto it.
All the best
