I am trying to create an animation that shows a milling machine cut into a block of metal. I was able to achieve this using a simple boolean operation. However, I'd also like to see if there's any way to generate the machining tool marks on the metal.

The only way I could think to get these to show up is by placing a machining texture on the booled geometry that is essentially 'revealed'. I also thought about doing something with a Tracer object, but this would only generate splines, so I'm not sure that would work. I have attached a sample C4D file as a dropbox link. Is there a way to have these machining marks show up, besides the idea I had with the texture reveal?
