I hope you’re doing well.
I recently watched the Vimeo clip “Moving C4D Personal Project” https://vimeo.com/591843235,
and was really intrigued by the opening animation, specifically how the floor begins as a continuous plane or surface and seems to open up with subtle line/extrusion/bevel detail around the opening edge.
I wanted to ask:
Is that opening of the floor achieved via a Boolean operation (e.g. subtract, difference etc.) or some other method (animated splitting of geometry / deformation / custom modeling)?
How is the bevel / subtle line / extrusion around the edge done — ?
I’m trying to learn more about good workflows for these kind of intros — clean, sharp edges, but still animated and dynamic ?

Good morning ! I had one follow up question. I tried adding thickness, by the new Thickness deformer, whoch is causing the polygons to break, Cloth is working, but i have crank up subd to really hugh level to get smooth poly, but is making it very heavy...what is the best wayto maintain procedural thickness adjustability on the shapes ?

I'm working on creating videos in Cinema4D for dome projection and need guidance on exporting with an equirectangular spherical camera:
1.How can I set up and export using an equirectangular camera in Cinema4D?
2.Once rendered, how can I refine or edit this footage in After Effects?
3. Are there any specific plugins or settings in Cinema4D I should be aware of?
In After Effects, which tools or effects are best for editing equirectangular content?
Any step-by-step advice or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,
When I create a new object, from the Content browser Create > Add Object To Database > create my own db
and also add the object back from Uncategorized folder to a new database folder...
The preview of the objs / fbx never shows ? That is the main reason why I am trying to set this up...also is there a way to drag my entire 10 separate assets on to a Watch Folder or a Database and have them show up as independent 10 Objects preview and not as a scene ?
