Hey everyone ! Does anybody have any tips on how they would go about animating dynamic dominoes shuffling. I have a group of dominoes with a dynamic tag on top of a table with a collider tag. I tried moving them with the characters hands and collider, I also tried using a field force attached the hand bone but have no luck. any tips would help! Thank you

        Hi jacket-imagination,

Is this close to what you like to have?

        CV4_2023_drs_23_DYds_01.c4d

Or with some joints (I would use the whole character)

        CV4_2023_drs_23_DYds_02.c4d

        Enjoy your weekend

            Hi jacket-imagination,

I moved your post; you had posted it in the Delta Robot thread.

Here is a setup that might allow you to do what you like.
            https://stcineversityprod02.blob.core.windows.net/$web/Cineversity_Forum_Support/2023_PROJECTS_DRS/20230529_CV4_2023_drs_23_DYds_12.c4d.zip

            The key parameters are:

No friction, no gravity, and little bounce.
This would lead to fast movements and endless trajectories once kicked.

For that, I introduced the Friction Field and, in the Dynamic tag, set the Force_Dampening to a much higher value.

I have cached it so you can see what I saw.

I placed an object on them to keep the "Dominos" from jumping or flying.

The hand is in this scene just a sphere. I could not post your scene as it is too big

If you like to touch some Dominos and use them as a shuffle tool for a moment, you might take the dynamic of and animate a group that is under the hand in the scene, which would be a yellow Dominos.

Set the steps (Project Settings > Bullet) higher.

There is no option; consider reasonable setup and versioning times to put pressure with the hand on Dominos and slide them around.

            All the best

Thanks a lot for the feedback, jacket-imagination.

I explored your scene a bit, perhaps putting a polygon selection on the fingers, and used that to place via MoGraph Cloner little colliders.

Let me know if there is anything else.

My best wishes for your project
