random blinking lights
-
Hi Dr. Sassi, how are you? I created an Xpresso node for a blinking light, which is nice, but I can not figure out how to create randomly lights in a cloner ; can you please help me out here? also, maybe there is a more modern way to achieve this , I hope to use RS, but any solution would be most helpful. Thank you as always for your time, Craig

Hi Craig,
Thanks for asking, I hope you have a great day.
Please have a look here:
Change the setting Effector>Animation for different results.
I assume white illumination was the idea?
Let me know if that works.
All the best

@Dr-Sassi Thank you, please pardon, my obtuseness, but the lights are not flickering?, please tell me what I'm doing wrong ; (-thank you, Craig

Hi Craig,
You never bother.
This works only during render time. Please let me know if rendering isn't working, I have seen it here flickering over time (not in the same frame), click to the next frame to see it working.
Cheers

Here are a few more setups, Craig.
I assume file…_13.c4d fits.

P.S.:
I can't even count how many times I have set this up for objects.
This is the first time for R.S. lights in that way; I use two lights; one is off, and one is on.
The Cloner sorts it based on the "Modify Clones" of the Random Effector. Simple and easy.Cheers
