      Hello
I'm having an issue I often used to have with the old cloth engine, which I thought would not happen with the new one (first time I'm using it in a long time).
I'm trying to create a movement of a fabric like a flag, and every time I try to run it, the cloth always looks like it is stretching.
I just want it to stay the same length but deform with turbulence.

See project file and image below, what am I doing wrong?

      Thanks!

        Hi AlexC,

Thanks for the file. Yes, the Flag should get shorter based on the deformations.

        Please have a look here:

I assume the Linear field was meant to increase the effect slowly. In the file from above, it is set to max, which means that the Force value is set to pull on the Flag more and more.
If set up as a mask to the Random Field, you get a different result, and the flag waves and stays pretty much in its size.

        All the best
