Low poly triangles effect on the bottle
-
Dear All, does anybody know how to make that outstanding low poly triangle pattern on the bottle? Same as on Absolut vodka bottle. I try to make it in Cinema4d, but have some problems with bottle at the end, since polygons reduction alter bottle way too much. Thank you in advance!

Hi counter-illegal,
I have no idea about an "Absolute Vodka Low Polygon" bottle.
Perhaps:
CV4_2023_drs_23_MOlp_01.c4dDo you have any images that you can share here?
To have a successful upload, Keep it below 500 vertical pixels.
All the best

P.S.: I used a simple plane, cleared the mid area, and then used a knife. Mesh> Move> Set Point Values. Wrapped it and shaped it.
Then, I pulled a little bit on some points and rendered it.
I left a few steps inside the file.

All the best

P.S.2: The best resource to harvest this kind of mesh is the Delaunay Caps, which are easy to adjust and detail.
Made editable and then extended and wrapped to a bottle, e.g., via Surface DeformerThe new Normal Editor might come in handy.
Edit: the resulting bottle

@Dr-Sassi Thank you so much! this is really helpful! and is it possible to apply reduced poly effect only to the part of polygons of the bottle? I have a rectangular bottle shape. Again, thanks a lot for your time and prompt response!

Thanks a lot, counter-illegal, you're very welcome.
There is no option to define in the Reduction Object the area of the amount of reduction.
However, any polygon object can be cut and separated. Parts have the option to be reduced differently or not at all.
Then comes the part to get it all back together, and two tips work well here to select the (Border) Loop and set the Y coordinates>Size to zero. (…Or use the Mesh> Move> Flatten function)
With that loop, one can use the "Mesh> Move> Fit Circle" if we talk about a round bottle here, but your bottle, other than the mentioned example, will benefit from the "Mesh> Move> Straighten Edge. All of that is to get the Edge of the heavily reduced object closer to the shape of the other parts. The gap between the two, perhaps based on moving the loop or the whole part, can be patched with the Polygon Pen to establish some stripes, then Close the Polygon Hole.
Alternative:
Shape the bottle and have a relatively dense mesh for it.
Select the parts in point mode that should stay relatively intact.
Use the Remesh Object or the "Scene Nodes Deformer [Quad Remesh]". Both allow for the use of a Vertex Map.
The Poly Reduction might (It is a finding process) then produce more of what you like.Enjoy

Thanks a million!

You're very welcome, Anna!
If you have any follow-up questions, please let me know. Preferably with a c4d file, even a "dummy" object, I'm happy to explore it.
Have a great weekend.
