Did the 'Protection' tag change?

Hello fellow creators,

Am I mistaken? It seems I used to be able to add a protection tag to a mesh, and it would become un-selectable in the viewport making life easy when selecting rig splines... Please guide me in the direction to achieve this.

Hi tone-dust,

The Protection Tag allows for selection but prevents position, rotation and scale changes or limits those.

My suggestion would be to place the object on a Layer and lock the Layer.
