Troubleshooting 3D painting
-
Hello C4d friends!
I'm so close to being able to paint a shoe I can taste it! For some reason, though, I cannot get the 3D painting feature to work. I have done this before without hassle, but that was long ago and either I'm forgetting something or something changed. Thank you for any help.
I ran the wizard, with appropriate settings to create a color channel in the material, no problem.
Now I have the ability to paint within the texture editor window. Great! but not what I need.
3D painting is active.
Materials have the little pencil next to them and no the red X.
I can adjust colors, brush size, etc, still for some reason I cannot paint directly on the mesh...
What am I missing?

Hi Chum,
The mp4 has zero bytes. Would you mind checking it?
Here is a 20-second clip. Do I do something different than you do?

The file that was created during the recording

Cheers

Thanks, Dr.
Yes, I think I did exactly what you did. Here's a revised link:

Hmm... my dropbox links aren't working at all!
Stand by, please...

Hi Chum,
It is getting later here; if you post a new file, please allow some time. I will check in the morning again (L.A. time here)
My best wishes
