I know this will be a super-easy solution, but it's totally baffling me at the moment.

I'm laying out a calendar bar with the months abbreviated (project attached) Calendar Counter_Sassi.c4d .

My approach is to clone a text object that has an Xpresso tag linking the name of the object to the text field - so whatever I name it appears as text in the model. Then make the cloner editable, so each block now has an accessible name I can change for each month in sequence manually. But when I make the cloner editable, the tag breaks. The Xpresso sequence is still there, but the links to the specific object are empty. I feel like there's a checkbox somewhere like "preserve Xpresso links" that I'm missing.

A better option would be to have the cloner object advance the month name automatically, like you can count up (or down) with numbers, but that's probably not as easy as it seems.

      Hi fordmar,

      Thanks for the file.

Yes, you are right; there is a quick "checkbox" action.

While both nodes are selected, then in the Attribute manager, set the Reference Mode to Relative.
Please make sure both are Relative by clicking on each node separately. It's not needed, but I do those double-checks.

More about that, if you have different cases, then the same object to the same Object

If you like other XPresso setups, please tell me more about the target.

My best wishes for your project
