      Hello.
I used BP a lot like 10 years or more ago.
Lastly I mostly used Zbrush polypaint, or Substance3D painter.

I Tried today to paint directly within BP, but it's acting very weird. The geometry is 10K polys, the texture 4K with 2 layers. It used to be a lot, but today it's pretty low.
Whenever I try to paint, BP takes like ages to compute one simple stroke, or the second stroke doesn't work, have to paint on texture 2d to re-activate 3d painting. Projection mapping doesn't work at all. Messages stating projection mapping is computing appear, but nothing really complete.

Wondering if i missed some new way to do things.

      I'm under c4d 2024.5.1, OS-X 14.5, mac studio M1, Apple Display.

      Thank for any advices.

OK, after some testing, I get way better result after deleting ALL redshift tags and X-presso and everything not necessary onto a new scene. Sounds like working now.
        Sorry for the panic message.

          Hi shtl,

Make sure you test this as well on a freshly started system without having any other apps running, and surely not a web-browser open. 😉

I tested it here with a MBP M1 16" and running an XDR 32" display. 2024.5 as well, OS 14.4.1

I have created a plane with 100x100 segments, two layers, and a 4096x4096 image.

Painted with and without projection, detached, moved, etc.

          All with no delay.

In other words, sorry that you have to experience that, and please get in touch with tech Support:

Fingers crossed, it will work in no time.

          Cheers
