Stick Particles to a Particle
-
Is it possible to use the Stick Modifier to stick a particle group to another particle group?
For instance: If Group A is emitting large ball like particles, can it bounce on a platform that has tiny particles from Group B on it, and have the Group B particles stick to the Group A particles? The Particles from group A is using a geometry replacement with a Sphere through a Cloner object.
I tried placing the Stick to the B Group particle group. I made the Sphere a polygonal object and the added the Collider tag to the Cloner object. Strange thing is, the Group B particles will stick to the first Group A particle with the Sphere replacement, but not other Group A particles.

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the file. Here it is back:
https://projectfiles.maxon.net/Cineversity_Forum_Support/2024_PROJECTS_DRS/20241008_CV4_2025_drs-24_PAcg_01.zipI cached the particle group that feeds that Cloner. Set the Sticky values differently and switch things off that would add again while being cached.
Please remember that priorities are important; one is given in the Object Manager, top to bottom, if not adjusted differently via Priority parameters.
Please have a look.
Enjoy

If there are more questions, please never hesitate to ask, and thanks for opening each question in a single thread. I enjoy that a lot.
My best wishes for your exploration.
