Hello! So we have 4 computer stations, 3 of them have Maxon One Floating subscriptions. How do we get all 4 to render at the same time? Do we need a fourth Redshift license? But I see there's also 20 TeamRender Client (floating) available when I'm on the Teams page while looking at my licenses. I would think I could use that some way without buying more but I cant seem to be logged in at more than one computer at a time and render. Just really confused with this and any help would be great. Thanks!

      Hi nopopoch,

I assume you know that each installed version of Cinema 4D has different apps. Like the "Cinema 4D Team Render Client.app" This one is needed for remote machines.

      Please have a look here:
      https://support.maxon.net/hc/en-us/articles/4409883337874-Floating-licenses-in-Maxon-App

If you like to render from one project (Local machine) to all available machines, please look here.

If there are problems of a technical nature, please open a ticket here:

I hope that helps to get you started.

      My best wishes

Hopping in here, the poster works with me.
Here is the issue: We have 3 Maxon One license, with four computers. We logged into the 4th computer and set up Maxon One with our user name. Then we signed out and set that computer as only a team render system. Everything is seen and works correctly. However, it is showing a Redshift error. as it's not licensed. But this is only a team Redner client.
To summarize, the computer works as a team Redner node (not signed in on) as far as Cinema is concerned but cannot use Redshift. So the question is, why does it allow Cinema to be a team render node, not signed in, but not redshift? I thought RS was native to Cinema now?

          Hi background-permit,

This feels very much like a tech-support question, which I have pointed out above.
What was the answer from the tech-support team?

I'm not supposed to do tech-support cases, so we keep the information flow organized.

I have very few options here to analyze your network or what happens.

My best tip would be to ensure you have the same version on each computer. Not just close enough. It's just the exact same build number needed. For Redshift and Cinema 4D

Lately, some people had problems based on having installed a lite version and running into trouble. That might not be the case here, but just to illustrate, this needs the care of our tech support team.

Anyway, sorry that you have to experience that at all.

          My best wishes.

Thanks for checking in. I spoke with tech support, and it seems Cinema comes with 5 Team render nodes. However, you need a full RS license to utilize Team Render with a Redshift scene, which is frustrating. I thought RS was now native, plus they are both sold from the same company in the same bundle.
It is what it is. It's just a way to make extra money, I suppose 😕

Thanks again for your input. It's appreciated, as always.

              Hi background-permit,

Yes, I understand the frustration and have already reported that we need clear information about it.
As usual, I do not answer from memory. I want to check how it is handled, hence my report.

I hope that it will be better in the future, and I am sorry for the disappointment; I really get that.

The problem I have to see is that I have no limits here with Licenses, so it never occurred to me. Sorry about that.

              Have a great weekend
