Question Regarding Liquify Modifier and Geometry Export
-
Hello Dr. Sassi,
I hope this message finds you well.I’ve been experimenting with the new Liquify modifier recently, and I encountered something a bit unusual.
When I enabled "Geometry" in the Export tag on the Liquid Mesh, the water didn’t appear to be in the same position as the emitter.Did I possibly enter the wrong parameters, or might I have missed a necessary step?
Thank you very much for your time and help.
Wishing you all the best,https://we.tl/t-kD3aymiMb8

Hi Gloria,
Thank you very much for the file, and for using Wetransfer!
Please have a look here:
CV4_2025_drs_25_LIpm_01.c4d• In the Attribute manager> Mode> Scene> Simulation> Liquids> Default Radius: 0.3cm
https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2025/en-us/Default.htm#html/OPBDSCENE-PBDSCENE_LIQUIDS_GROUP.html#PBDSCENE_LIQUIDS_RADIUS• In the Liquid Mesh> Properties> The influence Scale: 12
https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2025/en-us/Default.htm#html/OLIQUIDMESH-LIQUID_MESH_PROPERTY.html#LIQUID_MESH_INFLUENCE_SCALE
Please adjust these values to your liking. This is just what looks good to me, perhaps not your art-direction.If there is any other question, please let me know. I'm happy to look into it in the morning (I'm on Pacific Time)
All the best

Hello Dr. Sassi,
Thanks for the example. This looks even better.
However, when I turn on the Geometry, the water mesh doesn't correspond to the emitter. Which makes the water meshes doesn't correspond to the water pipe.https://we.tl/t-tlg07nTZ4U
Thank you.

Sorry, I checked on the Liquids, Gloria,
The Speed of the particle is pretty high. Perhaps start with 75.
Place a Collider Modifier (from the particle menu) under the particle Folder.
• In the Attribute Manager> Mode> Scene> Simulation> Particles> Substeps is set to 1.0, explore, e.g., 60, then dial down.
The Substeps check if there is a particle that might collide. If that number is higher, it checks more often.
https://help.maxon.net/c4d/2025/en-us/Default.htm#html/OPBDSCENE-PBDSCENE_FP_GROUP.html#PBDSCENE_FP_SUBSTEPS
I hope that helps. I don't have a fast enough computer to fine-tune this.
I call it a day now. (…past midnight)
My best wishes
