      Dear Dr Sasi

We are trying to reflect particles from an emitter off of the "Know Thyself" text in the linked project.

We can see the reflection clearly in the Redshift Render window, but when outputting the animation, we do see the reflection at the beginning of the render as it is calculating the Irradiance Point Cloud, but when it does the final pass, these reflections are greatly dimmed or completely gone.

What setting will need to be changed in order to keep the reflections visible?

      Thank You

        Hi Mark,

I miss some textures. I get only a black transparent material. (What is the idea of being transparent? I have cached the particles and explored them from there.

GI has pretty much no influence here. Switch it off to see if that will affect the result.

The size and resolution have an impact on the image when you render particles. They are seen through a different raster when both render windows are not the same.
Output to JPG in 8-bit/channel is possible, but it falls short of what you could achieve with a higher bit depth and more resolution.

In the link post, effects are mostly the result.
However, explore to render twice the size and then sample down to the format you need.

Here I would see a huge influence alone how the View Transform is set up.

Since I expect the textures to have an influence, I am waiting for them.

        All the best

Don't know why the textures did not go through. Here they are.
The black glass material is an experiment; we are trying different materials to see if any reflect better than others.

          Thanks for the help!

            Hi Mark,

Thanks for the textures; missing them is just a weird feeling.

            Here is a side-by-side comparison.

Here is the material I have used for the "Polygon Constant"

The camera was the given one (when opening your file, but set to 1500mm and set to the W.

Thank you again for the help and the material!

The new material seems to work. Do you know why this is? I still do not understand why the reflection showed very clearly when doing the first pass of the render, but then finishing it, it mostly completely disappeared.

                Hi Mark,

Please load these two materials into your Material Manager. They are named according to the objects they are intended for.
                CV4_2025_drs_25_RSpr_11.c4d
Ensure they are positioned on the right side when other materials are present for the object.
Render and compare what you had before.

This will provide you with some comparison.

Enjoy your weekend and your project.
