Hey I am R&D' ing this challenge at the moment.

"Recreate the peeling pain flakes we see on walls. I need it to be as much detailed as possible."
(I am not able to attach direct images, even though its tiny. )

I made some good progress just using cloth and vertex maps that control the pins and a low distance setting which makes them curl somewhat. I think to get all the detail it would be much better to have it already in the mesh, not through simulation, as I need a lot more detail

But I was thinking isn't this a really good one for Scene nodes? Something where we can measure the distance from center and curl the edges up? In particular the curled edges are what I am after. and I could paint maps to get variation of fractures in different areas?

Its normally something I would try to do in H* but I was curious if I could do that now in c4d

      Thank you!

        Hi thomas76,

Images have a height max of 500pixel.

I think that would be a perfect question to discuss live over at Ask The Trainer (Feb. 05).

I'm sure Noseman has some insights to this process.

            Thank you, thomas76.

You are in good hands with Noseman, for Scene Nodes, surely better than I try 😉

This is a very interesting idea, and I believe many things can be derived from the created knowledge!

Have a great start to your week.
