Spline Pen drawing beneath geometry
-
How do I get the spine pen to draw above existing geometry? By default it draws beneath existing geometry, which I can't imagine a single use for. To clarify, when I draw a spline with the spline pen the spline is completely obscured by any geometry. This means that I cannot draw a spline in a specific shape if I cannot see it. I am trying to draw a spline in a specific shape. I cannot turn off the geometry that is obscuring the spline because I need to use that geometry as a reference for the spline that I'm drawing. I should add that I'm in Front view.

Hi Gabe Gonzales,
My suggestion would be to set the
Object> Attribute Manager> Object> X-Ray to On.
In that way, you can see the Spline.Moving the Object into the background would be less comfortable in Frontview.
This can be easily done in the Freeze Coordinates if they are otherwise not used. This allows you to set it back without changing its initial position.I typically use X-Ray or the Display> Lines Mode to do those things. (N~G) to get, and (N~A) to get back if that was the initial display mode.
To make that work as you like, the Workplane must be movable of the Frontplane.
The other way would be to have the Spline draw not on the XY plane but on an "XY plane with negative distances value."Either way, that would be a suggestion for the "Share Your Ideas" here:

Thanks Dr. Sassi. I ended up using the Display> Lines mode solution but I'll try the X-Ray as well.

Hi Gabe Gonzales,
Thanks for being open to testing.
I tried a few ideas to see if I could find something, but nothing came close to the ease of Lines or X-Ray.
However, I will consider your request and hopefully come up with some suggestions that may one day make it into the app. There are no promotions, though. To be successful, it must have either a killer idea or the support of many people asking for something (Better: both).
Thank you for voicing your wish and staying open to alternatives.
Cheers

P.S.:
I do no know if that is helping much compared to the suggestions above.
Here is a short intro (20sec)
