Hi 🙂 I'd like to know if it's possible to affect the position of objects with Fields. In the example I'd like to retrieve the Y position of each sphere and then use it in an xpresso. Is this possible?

        Hi Pitchi,

Yes, via an Effector, like in the example below:

        CV4_2024_drs_24_ANdf_01.c4d

The Parameter in the Plain Effector (PSR) will be applied, e.g., 0-100% based on the fields value, e.g., 0-1.

Let me know what you need; the image (?) was not attached to your post.

So, the example might (or not) fit.

        Cheers

or with a straight spline, use a Plain Effector or a Displacer to move the spline points up the Y axis with a Field. And then in an Xpresso, I'd like to be able to measure the height of the points as a function of the Field.

Yes ! I found the solution by attaching an object to a point of a Matrix object with the Data node in Xpresso.

                  Great, Pitchi,

                  Thanks for updating your question.

I have no idea about ibb.co, not on my security list. Imgur or instagram is, so far.

Please let me know what else you might need for this question.

                  All the best
