    Brushed Anisotropic Metal in Redshift

      Hi Dr Sassi, me again.

      Im onto the next project where I need to render some headphones that have a brushed metal finish in Redshift.

      I'm trying to create this kind of Anisotropic reflection seen in these example images:

      I've followed some tutorials and tried the Brushed Metal materials in the asset browser but I cant seem to replicate the more complex gradient, the examples have multiple ramp lines to create a kind of cross shape, but my version is really simple and doesn't have that extra detail (if that makes sense).

      I thought it would just be a matter of duplicating the Ramp knots or increasing the rotation in the reflection but I can only twist my anisotropic shape around rather than adding more stripes.

      This tutorial seems to achieve the exact look I'm after in Octane (at the end of the video) but I cant get that to work in Redshift: https://youtu.be/3nHiSdUvFWE?t=443

        I have set up the object's axis to get a better UV map faster. I also reduced the light source size, as Anisotropy is not working well with large light sources. Besides this, the light sources are set to colors to see the effect of each for the setup up time in a better way.

        I left the texture/bump nodes in the file …11.c4d, but they are not connected. I find that those textures can contribute to the "scratches" that certain Anisotropy results like to show. Please create new textures for your needs. Mine are just quick Noise stretches and Polar Distortions in Ps.
