How to Pull a cloth sim off of a collider that has been set initial state?

Hi Herman,
Having the simplest c4d file attached is always good for seeing what is happening. Otherwise, we might end up with a long list of questions while perhaps missing the problem.
Images can't have more than 500 pixels vertically.
There are two ways, and the result differs, to attach a belt.
β’ One way is to go directly to the selected points.
β’Β The other way is to use the Current State Object and reset the Cloth Tag since you chose the initial state. Then, start from there.
Setting the Damping higher, at least during the start, might help.
I can't see problems with the Wind. Have you checked the Force list (if empty, it should be on Exclude), or the strength of the Wind Force need to be higher?
Sect some points on the cloth and connect it to the Belt.

that soloution was awesome. BUT I have a new problem
Cloth is not sliding off of the object. when I pull it it stretches and then object goes through cloth. I want it to slide off easily, like when they are revelaing a prize car in a showcase.

There might be many reasons, based on the object's setting or shape undernee=ath.

Please have a look here; I feel that comes the closest to a sweet spot of time investment and stretchy-avoidance:

The Stretchiness parameter can't produce a fixed 0% as the fabric needs to move around and bend. The bendiness (parameter) amount will not drastically change the stretchiness.
More importantly, the higher the mesh resolution is, the more stretching will show. Since this defines the fabric, there is little to change if it is a stiff or silk-like material. I have not found an option to get silk and nonstretch in on fabric.
Some. tips
The Text object should have bevels on the caps; sharp edges don't look good, but they are nearly impossible to use for simulations without many iterations.If you have a practical, non-stretching fabric, if pulled fast, it might "fly" off the object to a certain degree. Consider slightly supporting that fly-off with a Wind Object from below to remove some friction and support the pull.
It is helpful to have the mass not set too high nor leave the gravity as it is.
